Science - Testing Junk Boats!

We are learning about things that float and sink and we decided it would be fun to see if our junk boats would float.

We had spent time planning how we would make sure they would float, so it was time to test them!

We were delighted that ALL of our junk boats floated!!!

Topic: On The Move - Boats

For the last few weeks we have been learning about sea transport as part of our class project called 'On The Move'. We spent a lot of time researching all the different types of boats there are. We looked in books, at posters and on the internet.

We decided we would like to make boats with junk materials. We all chose a different type of boat. We made sailing boats, ferry boats, cargo boats, fishing boats and even a lifeboat! Here we are making our boats.

We worked hard on our own, but we also helped each other too, sharing ideas and helping each other to stick and glue.

Maths - Number Stories

We have been working really hard on number stories in maths.

Here we are making number stories with lots of different resources.

Robert and Erin are using dice to make their number stories

William and Paige use jungle animals and mats!

Brogan and Kirsty are using frogs and lily pads

We then had to gather together in teams to see who had found the most!

Toothbrushing Talk!

On 3rd spetember, we had a visit from 2 dental nurses who brought some special friends with them! Here we are learning how to brush our teeth, by brushing their teeth!
